Philosophy on the R&D of Sub-smooth Surface Cotton-spinning Traveler Ring :

A cotton-spinning traveler ring is one of the 3 equipment determining spinning quality in the textile factory. 'Ihe traditional mirror-surface and smooth-surface cotton-spinning traveler rings have been used by many textile factories for many years. They have made enormous contributions to the prosperity oi'our national textile industry. However, after longtime practice, research and analysis, the following disadvantages have been discovered. 1. Poor heal emission resulting from friction coefficient on Ihe high side, Easy to burn up Ihe rings. Along running-in period; 2. Low ami fatigue strength of the surface. Wuxi Municipal Textile Engineering Academy organized the scientific and technological personnel from Ihe higher education institutions and the textile industry for the joint development of a new product known as the sub-smooth surface cotton-spinning traveler ring. It features excellent antifatigue performance, small friction coefficient and imperceptible capillary bores (Ra 3.6n in TP 48.39%). It was well received by large and middle scale textile factories and higher education instilutions such as 3 large cotton-spinning factories in Wuxi, Jiangsu Tongshu, Wuhan Institute of Textile Technology, Huafang Group, Yizhcng Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd., China Bailong. Instruction on the Normal Polished Mirror Surface Traveler Ring :

Materials: It is wholly made of high quality "Tine-grain" steel. Before installation, please wipe the surface with clean and soft cotton waste or cloth to remove redundant grease and floating dusl. No surface treatment is required. During the running-in period, the supportive traveler ring, ! size lighter than the normal one, is preferred (according to the tensile force of yarns)
Such factors as spinning varieties, spindle speed, environment, quality of the ring traveler, cooperation between the traveler ring and the ring traveler, can affect the service life of the product. Generally, the 1 .steady cycle of spinning ranges from 6 to 8 months.
It needs replacing or back polishing if a variety is altered. Afterwards, it should be timely cleaned in saponifiablc oils (for short-term reserve) or receive anti-corrosive treatment (for long-term reserve). Finally, it is kept in the drying room.


Instruction on the Normal Sub-smooth Surface Traveler Ring and the Ist-generation Self-lubricated Sub-smooth Surface
Traveler Ring :

1.    Materials: It is wholly made of high-quality "fine-grain" steel.
2.     It is based on the mirror-surface type. The waves on its surface will reach smoothness with some friction coefficient through chemical polishing. This will create such advantages as improvement of wear resistance and heat-extraction coefficient, hard decaying of the surface, the ring traveler's balanced running al high speed on the runway after installation, lower temperature than normal, steady tensile force of spinning and reduced broken ends and hairiness.
3.     Such factors as spinning varieties, spiniilc speed, environment, quality of the ring traveler, cooperation between the traveler ring and the ring traveler, can affect the service life of the product. Generally, the 1 steady cycle of spinning ranges from 6 months to I year.
4.     It needs replacing or back polishing if a variety is altered. Afterwards, it should be timely cleaned in saptmifiable oils (for short-term reserve) or receive anti-corrosive treatment (for long-term reserve). Finally, it is kept in the drying room.
5.     After back polishing, its capillary bores and friction coefficient will undergo some changes. However, under the same circumstance, it is better than the mirror-surface one.
6.     Before installation, the normal sub-smooth surface traveler ring is preferably boiled for 15-30 minutes, and its surface should be wiped with clean and soft cotton waste or cloth. As for the 1 -generation self-lubricated sub-smooth surface traveler ring, prior to installation, the surface should be wiped with clean and soft cotton waste or cloth to remove redundant grease and floating dust.
7.     Both of the above products have a short running-in period. During Ihe period. the weight of the matching ring traveler will be Determined by the tensile force of the air ring.

Instruction on the 2nd-generation self-lubricated Sub-smooth Surface Travel Ring :

While retaining the features of the normal sub-smooth surface traveler ring and the 1 -generation self-lubricated sub-smooth surface one, il has absorbed the traveler ring technology of KANAI Japan, With the solid lubricant used in aviation & aerospace as the main raw material and developed out of hi-technology, it is a deep-layer-penctrated melal traveler ring. All of the performance indexes are excellent. The features are as follows:
1.     The new type can be installed once the package is removed. No treatment is required.
2.     An amorphous film is created on the surface due to oxidation. Therefore, it changes the dry friction between the traveler ring and the ring traveler, and closeness to boundary friction takes place. Its 3 big functions, such as rust prevention, lubrication and antifriction, will ensure the quality improvement of yarns in the textile factory. Particularly, it plays an important role in reducing hairiness.
3.     Because of its excellent lubrication, lower friction coefficient, the new one hardly has a running-in period. During spinning, the air ring displays good elasticity, balanced tensile force, and lightened twisted ends. The ring traveler's burning and flying seldom happens.
4.     According to wearing mechanism of flie ring traveler, the new type not only preserves the smoothness and flatness of the smooth-surface traveler ring, but also keeps the complete function of the spring whip. It is conducive to the startability and anti-wedge performance of the traveler ring and the ring traveler. Therefore, its steady use cycle ranges from 9 to 15 months.
5.     In accordance with the requirements of technique and management, the customer can choose a proper supportive ring traveler. Within 24 hours after operation, the ringer traveler should be replaced. Afterwards, a normal cycle of use and replacement starts. (f.     It is hard to go rusty at a high temperature anil in high humidity. Cleaning with petrol and alcohol is prohibited
